Stories that matter.
Música y Fe en Acción.
For a generation searching for something real.
what is verbo?
What if there were a meaningful, culturally relevant way to connect with a generation that often feels disconnected from traditional faith spaces? To engage young people who are still deeply hungry for connection, hope, honesty, and purpose?
VERBO is a multi-platform storytelling movement uncovering and amplifying authentic Latino stories inspired by one central question: What does faith in action really look like?

BRINGING VERBO TO LIFE
Urban Strategies is a community-building enterprise that brings people, partners, and resources together to create lasting opportunities. Rooted in dignity, belonging, and shared responsibility, we build support, connections, and pathways that help children, families, and communities build stronger futures.
Through VERBO, Urban Strategies extends this mission using storytelling, music, and visual arts — exploring healing, identity, purpose, and what faith in action can look like in real life.
THREE VERBO CREATIVE ARENAS
VERBO weaves together music, film, and murals into one creative ecosystem — each discipline amplifying the others to create deeper connection, greater reach, and lasting impact.
01
SHORT DOCUMENTARIES
Seven 10-minute episodes filmed across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Young Latino stories — simple, raw, and profound — of people exploring what faith looks like in real life.
02
ORIGINAL MUSIC
Seven original songs that celebrate faith from different voices and perspectives — blending the rhythms and sounds of Latino culture with the depth of real, lived experiences.
03
MURALS
Original murals created in cities across the country, transforming public spaces into expressions of Latino culture, faith, identity, and community.
COMING SOON: STORYTELLERS PROGRAM
Running alongside VERBO’s documentaries, music, and murals, the Storytellers Program invites a broader community of emerging and established Latino creatives to help bring the movement to life. Through spiritual formation, creative collaboration, and community engagement, filmmakers, photographers, poets, designers, digital creators, and others will explore their own expressions of faith in action — creating new work rooted in beauty, dignity, justice, and hope.
VERBO ARTIST OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for musicians who understand that a song can do what a sermon can't — reach into memory, emotion, and identity in ways that language alone can't access. VERBO's music speaks the language many of us already live in — Español, English, and everything in between.
The language changes. The passion doesn’t.
Write & record original music
Compose songs inspired by the stories and themes of VERBO — faith in action, community transformation, identity, and hope. Seven songs will be developed with the aim of five exceptional releases.
Participate in documentary storytelling
Music and film are released in coordination. Artists may be woven directly into documentary episodes — your sound becomes part of someone else's story, and vice versa.
Participate in SONGWRITING CAMP
Join an immersive gathering where songwriters, musicians, and storytellers come together to create original music inspired by faith, culture, identity, and community. Collaborate, experiment, and turn shared stories into songs that become part of the VERBO movement—creando algo nuevo, juntos.
VERBO is building something bigger than a song, a film, or a mural.
We’re building a cultural conversation.
Bring your voice. Trae tu historia.
